Land Rover Series 1 80 Engine 1952 Siamese Bore 2 Litre

For sale is complete short engine for the Land Rover Series 1 80. Engine number is 26106122 which dates it as a 1952. Lease look at the photographs for further details. It turns freely and smoothly.

When I removed it 2 years back it ran well, pulled nicely also quietly but would however oil the number three plug if idling in traffic so it would be best to advertise it for rebuild. It does comes with the crank pulley although this isnt shown in the photographs. Starter works just fine and the flywheel and ring gear are in clean order too. There is no cylinder head with this sale as I removed it to swap onto my new engine since it. Hadnt long been overhauled, I do however have a complete alloy head available with SU carb push rods bolts etc removed from a low mileage engine (had frost damage) that was still standard size on everything if youd be interested?

I have an engine hoist at hand my end to assist in loading if it helps to make things easier. I don't really want to offer deliver with this but it could be an option depending on distance.
