Land rover series 3 lightweight engine PETROL no 951xxxxxx 24V

Land rover engine, engine number 951xxxxxx Series III petrol 2286cc 3-bearing (fitted to 88 inch airportable). Was running great with the SU carb set up.

Starter motor was new about a 1000miles ago same as the ALT which is the type that does not need all the control gear, charges x2 battery banks. I have a few army spares for this engine including oil cooler and cooler pipes.

Old carb and filter which worked ok just needed more tuning more often then the SU which made the engine run like a swiss watch. Also have a new distributor and cap, leads and plugs never fitted also a new coil still in packaging. New never fitted 109 exhaust.

Also have the old starter motor spins fine but has a unreliable starter dog/cog. As soon as my new compression tester arrives i will add pics of the results!!
