Landrover 109 Series 3 1974 Original with Galvanised Military Chassis
Hello and thanks for looking at my lovely Ex Army LWB Landrover. I have owned her since March 2013 when I bought her as a present to myself and my two children when I got divorced and we all needed to have some fun. There have been long summers at the beach together, taking kayaks, paddle boards and much more as you can see in the photos - even taking 6th Formers to their leaving prom! Now my children are grown up and have their own cars, and they dont want to go to the beach with me anyway! It is time for her to move on to someone new, instead of being stuck in the barn and barely used.

She is a 1974 Ex-Army Landrover, first registered when she left the Army in 1985. She belonged to a potato farmer in Herefordshire, he called her Bertha.

You will see from the original advert (which I have kept) more details about her. I have never touched her exterior - she is beautiful as she is. This is not a shiny, resprayed vehicle.

She has never been outside and lived in the barn for the whole of her 8 years with me, unless in use. Full Canvas Tilt (plastic window needs replacing) and galvanised frame - very hard to come by these days.

Free Wheeling Hubs, low ratio gears working fine. I even have a spare key (which I had cut when I got her). As a military vehicle there are some additional bits - for example an oil cooler for the engine. 3 extra wheels and a box of other bits, plus a driver side window - not in great condition but ok.

Things that may need to be done at some point. Exhaust is blowing in several places and will need replacing at some point. Red light on dash flickers occasionally and has done for years - doesn't seem to affect her in any way.

Bulkhead has some rust holes on both sides (mainly at the top around the vents - see pictures) this will need TLC soon. Handbrake needs to be adjusted/fixed as it does not really work well at all. Photos and breakdown of the fitting of the galvanised chassis in 2015.

MOT history and paperwork showing the following mileage. I will be sad to see her go but I know that this vehicle is about as original as you can get and her value will continue to increase. She was 200 miles from me when I completely fell for her. I have recently towed a compact tractor for 3 miles up some very steep hills in low ratio - amazing to think she is 47 years old. I have also moved two sailing dinghies off the beach using this amazing vehicle at the weekend. My name is Lucy and my mobile number is 07747 676842. I would prefer bank transfer or cash on collection.
