CONVERSION EXHAUST - DEFENDER 200TDI, 2.5TD IN LAND ROVER SERIES SWB 88. CONVERSION EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR DEFENDER 200TDI, 2.5 TURBO DIESEL ENGINES FITTED IN SERIES SWB.
Fits LAND ROVER Series 2, Series 2A and Series 3 Short Wheel Base 88 with a series gearbox and leaf sprung chassis. This conversion exhaust is manufactured by ourselves in the UK in 2ΒΌ aluminised mild steel. That fits to the turbo outlet, with a bracket to fasten it to the engine block and a turbo outlet clamp. That fits across the rear of the vehicle.
The rear silencer exits behind the right-hand rear wheel as per the standard 2 engines and has been specially designed internally for a turbo engine. All the pipework is larger bore than standard. A fitting kit is also supplied which consists of larger tailpipe bracket, larger clamps for the intermediate pipe plus nuts, bolts and washers. This hangs on the standard 88 Short Wheel Base chassis mountings and takes the same route as the standard exhaust system that exits behind the drivers side wheel.
