HNJ Engineering brings you a conversion kit allowing the fitment of the following 1 3/4 SU carburettors to the Land Rover Series 2.25 petrol engine. Carburettors compatible with this kit: - Zenith Stromberg CD175 - 1 3/4 SU Part Number LZX 1739 - Lever Required. Some internal filling required as the CD175 spindle is marginally thicker than the HIF44 - SU HIF 44 - 1 3/4" (SU Part Number LZX 1739 Lever fitted as standard) - SU HS6 - 1 3/4" - SU HD6 - 1 3/4 The HNJ2286-SU-4CYL - Land Rover Series SU Carburettor Adaptor Kit includes the following: - 1x HNJ2286-SU-4CYL - Land Rover Series SU Carburettor Adaptor supplied with 4 OFF M8 x 45mm LG Studs, suitable for HIF44, HS6 & Zenith Stromberg CD175 Carburettors. 1x HNJ278162 - Carburettor Spacer, Aluminium - 2x HNJ278163 - Gasket, Inlet Manifold - 3x HNJAUC4279 - Gasket, Intake - 1x HNJ2286-002 - Throttle Cable, Bracket - 1x HNJ2286-003 - Throttle Cable (M12 nut not supplied) -1x HNJ2286-005 - Throttle Pedal, Bracket - 1x HNJ610849, Carburettor Insulator, 6mm Thk - 4x M8 Nuts, Plain Washers & Spring Washers. You may wish to use alternative nuts or threading locking on your installation.
3x M5 x 15 LG Stainless Cap HD Setscrews, 7x Stainless Washers & 3x Stainless Nyloc Nuts. Notes HNJ2286-SU-4CYL is designed for use with Land Rover Part Number: 596000 - 2.25 Petrol Inlet Manifold, in conjunction with the factory fitted 2 OFF Land Rover Part Number 587726 - Stud for Carburettor Adaptor fitted.
Depending on the carburettor fitted it will be necessary to fit HNJ2296-002 - Throttle Cable Bracket on different sides of the HNJ610849 - Carburettor Insulator 6mm Thk, for optimum throttle cable alignment. This kit does not provide a solution for connectivity between the standard fitment oil bath air filter and the carburettor. If it is desirable to retain the oil bath air filter then we would recommend fitting the Zenith Stromberg CD175 Carburettor in conjunction with the 6 Cylinder Carburettor Elbow, Land Rover part number 596495.
Fitting HNJ2286-005, Throttle Pedal, Bracket 1 Fit bracket in desired location on the throttle pedal, after drilling 2 OFF 5.5mm holes. 2 Using a set square, mark the hole position on the inside of the bulkhead footwell, with the pedal in the UP position.
3 Drill 13mm hole through upper footwell from the inside. 4 Fit cable, and connect to bracket, with a washer either side of the cable eye.All parts are manufactured to the highest standards within the United Kingdom and either meet or exceed the original specification of the equivalent genuine Land Rover part.
