Welcome to the sale of my Land Rover Series 3 109 Hi Cap 2.25L petrol. I bought this as a winter project and it needed a fair amount of work done. I have serviced it, replaced the carburettor, rewired the entire rear lights, replaced the fuel tank and various other parts. In short, anything needing done has been done.
Many, many hours of work and parts to bring it up to standard. It is showing just under 27k miles and I suspect this to be correct although I cannot prove it. Checking the MOT history online on the GOV website it showed 26,263 in 2006 and rises by small amounts up to todays mileage. Although it is 40yrs old and will be MOT exempt I put it through an MOT so I can be sure it is ready for anything. Being a High Capacity (or Hi Cap) it has uprated springs and a much bigger truck bed.
It starts first time, every time and it drives as it should. Everything works and it really is a pleasure to drive once you get used to the Land Rover Series character. It attracts attention anywhere you go but the real purpose is a workhorse. It will go anywhere and is happiest loaded up. It also has freewheeling hubs.
